My Story

Hello - My name is Kate.

This is me in the picture. I started out as a successful actress, starting at age 18 after leaving drama school (I went at age 16, but pretended I was older!), and worked for 20 years in film, tv and the London stage. I was extremely fortunate and got to film with some real British icons. But it slowly slipped away when children arrived & they became my sole focus. I was married to a successful tv producer who was away with work a lot, so I needed to be there for the children.

As the children grew older, I realised how much I missed being creative and so I set out to learn how to make jewellery. Something I’ve always loved are gold, boho layering pieces but was frustrated I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted.

In time, I started making and selling for a shop. My life changed yet again and it was set aside.

Now my children are nearly adults and I’m very excited to concentrate on making the things I love.

I have been making jewellery for years & it brings me such joy. Each piece is a one-off and unique and has taken many hours. I use only gold-plate and natural precious stones sourced from all over the world. No stone is the same. All with their natural irregularities that make them so interesting. I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I do.
